Cooking can sometimes feel like such a chore, and if you haven’t had a break in awhile, it can be extra tedious. A great way to rekindle the spark in your kitchen is to switch things up, recipe-wise, so we thought we’d poll the Mettacool team to get some new ideas for ourselves and our community!
Here’s what everyone’s been whipping up:
Jackie Hodnichak, Chief of Staff & Director of Community
Feel-Good Apple Muffins
“We no joke make these muffins every week because my daughter, Emerson, is obsessed with them.” Recipe here.
Another one of Jackie’s favorite go-tos has been this recipe for Paleo Bruschetta Chicken. Yum!
Katie Costa, Director of Coaching
Cilantro Cabbage Slaw
“Great as a taco topping, to scoop up with a tortilla chip or on the side with your favorite Mexican-style entree! This is a go-to almost weekly favorite we make for any sort of Mexican-themed dinner.”
Recipe:
Sophia Miller, Customer Success Manager
“I am not so much a recipe follower, however, some tiny tweaks have been seeping into my daily cooking rituals:
1. Topping everything and anything savory with cilantro and lime (alkalizing, encourages balance in the physical body).
2. Sprinkling tea and smoothies with culinary lavender (utilized throughout history to alleviate anxiety, insomnia, depression, and more).
3. Sauteing vegetables with miso (excellent for digestion + flavor). I like Miso Master.”
Molly Dewey, Co-Founder & Co-CEO
“We have a bit of a recipe rotation going in our house, and whenever I make something new that my husband likes, he goes, ‘ADD IT TO THE ROTATION!’ So the rotation changes over time, but one meal that we never seem to get bored with is Plant-Based Burrito Bowls – I use this recipe from Purple Carrot because it’s super clean, and super easy!”
Happy Quarantine Cooking, Metta Mavens!
I wonder what this tastes like. I can’t wait to try this one. Thank you so much for sharing!
